Traditional supermarkets, most of which were fairly shoddy places and will not be missed, are fleeing from New York City in droves. Instead, many folks are now ordering online from Freshdirect and other suppliers, leading to a new class of minimum-wage occupations. This guy is heaving some nosh for Upper West Siders up Amsterdam avenue. That’s 24 families taken care of including one lot who get toilet paper as well.
